Why I love dogs

Whiskers is sleeping next to our portable heater.  He loves curling up to it while I am busy typing away at this blog, or Kiyomi (my wife) is studying.  Whiskers is so loveable, but when I meet other dogs I love them to too, any dog, even the so called "ugly" breeds are just precious in my eyes.

I think part of the reason I love dogs so much is their innate loyalty, intelligence, curiosity and playfulness.

Whiskers can really understand what I am feeling or thinking sometimes.  For example whenever my wife and I get into a verbal fight, whiskers will notice and will to try to stop the fight by getting our attention, either by barking or by jumping on one of us and licking us near the mouth.  He'll also look at us quizzically if we are saying something funny to each other.

He will curl up to one of us when he sleeps, and when he wants us to take him for a walk he will sit and lie down near the door.    And he will run around the apartment chasing his shadow when he is in a playful mood.

Why I started THIS blog

Dogs are wonderful, I hope you'll agree.  I love both startups and dogs.  I've started blogs related to technology, but I thought recently, why not one about dogs. There is even a meeetup in San Francisco related to Dogs and Startups, which I am going to next saturday -- will tell you all about it.
