A dog is a great investment

Last year one of our puppies was killed by a car.  His name was Champ and he was just over a year old when he was killed.  The incident still brings tears to our eyes, yet I would not have traded that year for anything in the world.

All the headaches, toilet training, scratches on the floor, all the myriad expenses of housing and caring for a puppy... it's worth it all.

We will never forget that year with Champ.  It was a great joy to see him play with his brother Whiskers (who is still with us), to see him run and chase balls with his brother, to have him cuddle up next to us when he slept... it's worth it all.

Why is a dog such a great investment?  A dog teaches you how to love unconditionally,  reduces stress (thus your chance of getting a heart attack), and makes you exercise everyday.  Plus you get to go out more often and meet new people.
